Topical Tuesday # 43 - Snowman Treat Box

Hello, Sue W here, with my last Topical Tuesday post for 2012!

I like to have a few little boxed treats to hang on the tree for visitors at Christmas.....how about you?

Here's a tall skinny snowman box that goes together quite quickly and is fun to decorate. Fill it with chocolates of home baked goodies for a sweet little gift.

Requirements:

1 x A4 piece of card stock. Small scraps of  ABS digital avocado card. White card for labels and sentiments.

ABS Emerald Collection - Digital Paper - Mint striped.

Dies: CBD 002 Shapes 1, CBD 003 Decorated Christmas. Spellbinders Petite Ovals and circles.

Stamps: ABS Decorated Christmas and Stamped For Christmas.

Embellishments: ABS Christmas Ribbon,  Chilli and Cherry Sprinkles.

Other:  4 x 2" Clear card stock. Small scrap of black felt, Fern punch, High Tac tape and Art Glitter dries clear adhesive.

1.  I printed one A4 sheet of Mint stripe from the ABS Emerald digital collection.  Printed to ABS smooth white card which is a perfect weight for the box.

2. Pass the card through the printer again to print the box cutting and scoring lines. You want to make sure this prints to the white side not the printed one.

2. 3. Cut on the solid lines and score on the dashed lines.  Use a bone scorer to ensure a good crease.

Keep any off cuts of paper as well as the little pattern for the top hat :)

4. Flip the box so you have the patterned side facing up and continue to die cut the Snowman shape.

5.  If you use a Cuttlebug to die cut you will need to fold up the left side of your box to pass it through the machine. 

6.  

Cut a strip of clear card stock to measure 4" x 1-7/8" to adhere over the die cut shapes on the inside of the box.

7. Use High Tac tape to add the clear card stock and adhere the box together.

8. Your box is made and it's time to decorate it.

9.  Here's the finished box.........I have to say, it took more time to photograph then write it up :)  I hope you like it and will make at least one! Don't forget he November challenge is all about stripes......perfect!

Topical Tuesday #42 - Ghirardelli Chocolate Boxes

Hi all!  Thanks for stopping by today for our Topical Tuesday Tasting!

This week is a little tasty with little boxes for the Ghirardelli Chocolate Squares!  I have a luncheon in a couple of weeks for the ladies of our Altar Society and I wanted to add a little something to the tables so I thought I'd make up 40 of these!  I'm showing you them made in Waterfall and Chilli Bella Digi Papers!  I also have a free pdf so you can print and cut away!

November Blog Hop!

Hi all!  Thanks for stopping by as we share this months hop!  Our hops will now be the second Wednesday of each month at 8.00pm AEST (AEDT) so you'll know exactly when and where we'll be :)  We have some new Bella Digi Papers to release as well as ribbons to co-ordinate with our Sprinkles!  This month we are releasing 6 colours perfect for Christmas creating :

The colour names will match the Sprinkles and ribbon colours so you'll know exactly what goes with what!
The ribbons are 16mm DF Satin Ribbon and will be sold in 5m lots wound on to a ribbon card :

And they work beautifully with our Sprinkles!  If you haven't tried our Sprinkles then you must check them out!  We have a huge range of colours and sizes!  Here they are in the release colours :

We are starting with our Classic collection of papers that include small dots in both positive and negative, dots in positive and negative, diagonal stripes in positive and negative, check in positive and negative and stripes along with a plain...Here they are in Avocado!

There are 10 designs per colour and three colours per collection, so there are a total of 30 paper designs!  They come in either A4 or US and are tif files saved at 300dpi.
