Topical Tuesday #67 - Embossing Resist

Hello,

It's Donna here with my very first Topical Tuesday. I'm afraid I'm not all that good with the whole video thing just yet (it's on my list to concur sooner or later) so I hope you don't mind my very crude photo display... This week I am showing you how to do Embossing Resist. This is great for back grounds or just to make you image "pop" off your card.

Supplies:
Stamps: ABS - Daisy Delight
Embossing Ink
Clear Embossing Powder
Static Pad
Heat Gun
White (or light coloured) cardstock
Waterbased Dye Ink - Darker than your cardstock colour. I have used Weathered Wood, Shabby Shutters and Wild Honey.
Sponge Blocks

*Remember to emboss images on light coloured cardstock, then apply darker ink to make them "pop".

 My finished card...

If your wondering why the photo's jump from 3 to 5 it's because I took out number 4 and forgot to change the the numbers... I know... duh!!!

Hope you enjoyed my Topical Tuesday.
Hugs,
Donna

  2. Great work, Donna! I often prefer good pictures (which these are) over a video anyway! You always work magic with colour, and this card is no exception. It's so pretty!
